Meet Engr. Mrs. Kesandu Uchenyi

Engr. Mrs. Kesandu-Uchenyi, O. I. joined PRODA as a Research Officer II in March, 1990. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as well as a research-based master’s degree (MPhil) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
She gained experience by participating in several committees including Outside Collaboration Committee of PRODA. She headed Electrical Machines division of EPED department and has risen to the position of Deputy Director (Research).
A COREN registered engineer and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Mrs. Kesandu-Uchenyi, believes that learning never ends. She participates actively in electrical engineering research and product development.
As the Ag. HOD of Electrical Power and Electronics Development (EPED) department, she encourages EPED staff to work as a team and excel in research, product development, machine operation & maintenance and other electrical/electronics duties. The department is open to collaboration, offers consultancy services and trains students from time to time. She is happily married with children.
