Visit of the Senate committee on science, technology and innovation to PRODA on an oversight functions. Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) who led the delegation, congratulated the new DG/CEO Engr. Dr Okwudilichukwu Peter Ogbobe on his appointment as the substantive Director General of the Institute. She charged him to imbibe the spirit of inclusiveness to make the desired changes that will result in the achievements of its mandates. She further expressed delight at the DG for bringing stability to the Institute. Reacting through his speech, the DG appreciated the Senator for her relentless drive through legislative functions in making science, technology and innovation play vital roles in the nations economy and the Institute in particular. He stressed that the Institute has contributed greatly to poverty reduction and steaming youths restiveness. He finally assured the Senators of his commitment to remain focused to take the Institute to an envious heights and in the achievements of its mandates.
