Overview
The Department of Finance and Accounts plays a crucial role in managing financial aspects and maintaining accurate financial records. This department is responsible for several key functions related to financial management and accounting.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and Recording all allocations, Revenue, External Loans and Grants
- Accounting for funds expended by the Institute and Reconciling the expenditure in their various cash books
- Preparing the Institute’s Budget in line with proposal made from departments and allocated envelope from the Ministry in each Financial Year and presenting to management for deliberation and Board ratification.
- Preparing the Institute’s financial report, retiring expended cash advance and awaiting already prepared financial statement to external auditor for auditing
