Engr. Peter Okwudilichukwu Ogbobe, Ph.D

Engr. Dr. Peter Okwudilichukwu Ogbobe was born on the 6th day of August, 1968. He hails from Onuakachi Village in Alor-Uno,Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. He attended Hill Top Primary School Ogba Nkpologu (1975-1981), after which he proceeded to St Theresa’s College Nsukka (1981-1986). He obtained Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (1993) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Master of Engineering Mechanical/Production Engineering (2002) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka; and a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering (2011) from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Peoples Republic of China. His urge for digitalization/automation of Government businesses deepened his quest for knowledge; hence he attended e-Government Capacity Building Programme in Nigeria (2018), e-Government Invitational training in Seoul, Korea from April 14-28 and Developing Digital Government Strategies in Singapore (8 – 12 July 2019).

Dr. Ogbobe is an experienced, competent and well-trained researcher in the fields relating to computing, information systems, technology management and engineering, with expertise in flight simulation, space docking and electrohydraulic simulation and testing systems. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and is a registered Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

He is currently the Director General/CEO of Projects Development Institute(PRODA), Enugu. Before his appointment, he worked as the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), he has worked at Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) and Technology Incubation Centres, Nnewi and Enugu in different capacities. He has numerous awards and has about twenty-nine (29) publications to his credit both locally and international peer reviewed journals. His hobbies include: reading, researching and meeting people. He is married with lovely children.
